My Love And The Kite

Today I took a few minutes to look at some pictures of me and my wife on our summer vacation last year. They made me smile. From out of nowhere, I wrote something nice and poetic about her and us. She liked it and gave me the OK to post it:

Windsock tailed a modern-day kite
the wind just right
brushing against
a white and blue heaven
on this beautiful day of
soft white sand and fun romance
for me and my long time love

Old-fashioned childhood memories
tickled smiles and laughter
shared of days gone by
as the kite danced
among the clouds

Old-fashioned paper kites are hard to find these days. I remember when they were a dime and a big ball of string was a nickel. As a small kid, I and my brother would fly them far away until they disappeared high in the sky.

Check out  http://oldcitykites.com/ You already know you'll pay much more for a kite and accessories than the days when I was a small boy.

Have a fun romantic time!
